“This service allows you to register to receive notifications via phone calls, text messaging, e-mail and more based on locations you selected. You can choose to receive notifications about events that may affect your home, workplace, family’s schools and more… When we issue a notification about a potential safety hazard, emergency, or concern, you will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that you have registered. You will receive the notifications through every contact path selected, i.e. home phone, cell phone, email, etc. The system will continue to attempt to reach you at all of the contact paths that you have registered until a message is delivered successfully.” – Charleston County
